07-May-2013: Toy Library AGM
The Toy Library AGM was held in April. We are really pleased to welcome Jenny Matheson and Stephanie Ward onto the committee. Jenny will be taking over from Tracy as Treasurer. Kath Barrett, Jo Palmer, Carolyn McIntyre and Ailsa McLean have all agreed to stay on.
We bid a fond farewell to Suhair Pedley, who was our longest serving committee member of six years. Suhair has been an integral member of the committee, and has been involved in every aspect of running the toy library. Her fantastic enthusiasm for the toy library will be missed. We wish her, Neil and the boys all the best.
If you are interested in joing the committee, but missed our AGM, please contact Kath Barrett. |

15-Feb-2013: Party Hire
Having a children's party, but not sure how to keep them entertained - the toy library can now offer toys for party hire. Pay $20 and get FOUR of our larger toys (roller coaster, coupe car, slide, climbing frame or so on) for one week. This will be one top of your usual toy allowance. This offers great value, as these are usually popular gold star toys or proven favourites. This offer is ONLY AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS of the toy library, and bookings must be made in advance to ensure availability, due to limited storage space in the toy library. You can check out our range of these toy using the toy list on this website - search under Outdoor or Ride Ons. This cost has been considered carefully by the committee, and you couldn't buy these toys for that price! Why buy these toys, and then have to store them when you really only want them for a day, borrow them from us. |

15-Feb-2013: Introduce a friend and get a free toy bag
We have a fantastic toy library which we want to share. Introduce a friend or a family member, get them to sign up for a full membership and bag yourself a free toy library bag (limited to the first ten people). These bags are bigger than your average supermarket one, and great for transporting and storing all those toys borrowed from us.
Ailsa will be happy to show you one next time your in the toy library.
We're also having a stall, at the Children's Day event organised by SKIP, on Sunday the 3rd March at the Springvale Jubilee Stadium. This is a great opportunity to promote our toy library to those people who still don't know about us, and the great toys we have available. Check out our facebook page, to keep up to date with what's happening in our community. |

19-May-2012: Cleaning of Toys
Please ensure that before returning toys you have checked they are clean. We have had a few that have come in clearly covered in dirt or sand. We don't have the facilities for completely cleaning toys, and usually it's too busy to do so. It is members responsibility to make sure toys are returned in a clean state. Please don't be offended if you are asked to take an item home if it is dirty. |
