Welcome to the Stoke Toy Library
Thanks to the Nelson City Coucil & Canterbury Community Trust for recent grants. We have purchased many new 3D puzzles and 'smart games', ideal for kids from 4-99! Lots of new Imitative 'I' toys will be hitting the shelves too. Fire stations, trains, fairy house, garages and dino sets. Keep an eye out for great new Playmobil too.

02-Feb-2012: What's coming up in 2012...
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Remember that Stoke Toy Library re-opens for 2012 this coming Tuesday 7th February from 7-8.30pm. Bring back the toys your children have enjoyed over the summer holidays & choose some new ones for them. See if you can be the first to borrow some of the great new toys purchased late last year.
Don't forget that we are also holding a Family Fun Day on Sunday 11th March between 11am & 3pm at Marsden Reserve (next to library). There will lots happening for the whole family, including pony rides, bouncy castle, sporting activities, art activities, ferris wheel, mini jeeps, face painting, sausage sizzle, cake stall, childrens clothes & toy sale, & other entertainment.
We would really appreciate your help with this day. Here's how you can help:
- bake us something for the cake stall
- donate something we can use as prizes for a raffle or for children as spot prizes
- clean out your childrens drawers/toy boxes & give us anything still in good condition
- help us on the day

10-Jan-2012: Stoke Toy Library Fun Day - Can you help us?
Can you help us? Stoke Toy Library are holding a family fun day this year 11 March 2012. We will have plenty of entertainment for the whole family. As part of all the events we are looking for some assitance.
1) Do you have a business or know of someone that would be willing to provide some small prizes for the various events?
2) Have you got baby/childrens clothing, toys and other such things that you could donate to our white elephant stall?
3) Can you bake cakes, muffins etc and are happy to bake something closer to the time?
4) Would you like to help out on the day looking after stalls etc or have or know of someone that has some skill or items we could include in the fun day?
