Stoke Toy Library
Welcome to the Stoke Toy Library.

We hope you're enjoying all the new toys available for hire. Our most recent grant from the New Zealand Community Trust has seen many new sporting toys on the shelves.

A recent trip to the NZ Toy Library Conference has given us useful info on running the library, as well as allowing us to spend the proceeds of our quiz night on a number of new toys.

Thank you to those members whose help and donations for our sausage sizzle made the event such a big success. We raised almost $500 towards new toys and we were thrilled to have the support before and on the day. Do let us know if there are any specific toys you would like to see at the library.

The library is run by a small team of volunteers and we welcome new committee members. There are a number of committee benefits so if you'd like to join our team, please let us know.

If you are thinking about joining, please find our membership application form under 'Documents'.

Library News
09-Sep-2010:  We are looking for new committee members!
We are looking for new committee members!

The Stoke Toy Library is currently looking for new members to join our friendly and enthusiastic committee.

A number of long serving committee members now have school age children and have sadly resigned. Library membership is currently at 130 families and is growing rapidly. Our current team of 8 parents does include two on a maternity break and we would really love some new faces to join us with fresh ideas about the library and the range of toys on offer.

As a committee member you would normally attend our monthly committee meeting as well as act as ?librarian? at approximately 2 sessions a term. It is also a great chance to help decide what toys you would like to see in the library. We are a friendly team, doing our best to build a fantastic library for our community and everyone does as much or as little to help the library as family and work commitments allow.

If you are interested in meeting new people and helping us to build an even better library, please drop us an email at stoketoylib@gmail.com and come along to our next meeting to find out what we do. We would love to see you.

If you or someone you know are available to work these hours & are organised, self-motivated & enjoy working with the public, we'd like to hear from you.

Please contact Megan Riddell on 5473198, 0212585340 or email stoketoylib@gmail.com as soon as possible (no later than 6th September).
